Applications Are Now Open For The Great Maltese Bake Off

If you’ve ever been told your cakes deserve their own TV show, now’s your chance to prove it.

Applications are officially open for The Great Maltese Bake Off, with aspiring amateur bakers from Malta and Gozo invited to step into the iconic Bake Off tent ahead of the show’s debut in 2027.

Media Exclusive, which is bringing the globally acclaimed format to the islands, is encouraging passionate home bakers aged 18 and over to apply for a chance to compete in what promises to be one of Malta’s sweetest television competitions.

The local adaptation will see contestants take on a series of themed baking challenges that test their technical skills, creativity and ability to keep their cool under pressure. From traditional Maltese favourites to inventive modern creations, bakers will battle it out for Bake Off glory.

Originally created by Love Productions and licensed by BBC Studios Distribution, the Bake Off format first launched in the UK in 2010 before becoming one of the world’s most successful television franchises, with versions in more than 40 countries.

Those interested in taking part can now submit their application through Media Exclusive’s website.
