A 26-year-old woman has been arrested in Hamilton for alleged Facebook marketplace scams with goods totalling around $100,000.
Police said it was believed marketplace sellers met with the woman, who then provided fake bank transfers to purchase and receive the item.
Police allege over the past two months the woman received a number of high-value items including vehicles and electronic goods.
She appeared in Hamilton District Court on Friday facing several charges, including theft and using a forged document.
She has been remanded on bail and is due to reappear at the end of July.
