Young people in the municipality of Silves are being invited to volunteer at this year’s 21st Silves Medieval Fair, giving them the chance to help organise one of the Algarve’s most popular cultural events while gaining valuable experience.
The recruitment drive is open to residents aged 15 and over, with successful applicants joining the team behind the annual festival, which attracts thousands of visitors every summer.
Volunteers will assist with the organisation of the event, experience what goes on behind the scenes and work alongside the organising team in what the municipality describes as a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The initiative is designed to give young people the opportunity to develop personal and social skills, meet new people and play an active role in bringing one of the region’s largest historical re-enactments to life.
Applications are open until July 26, although places are limited.
Those interested can register by completing the municipality’s online application form. Further information is available by emailing [email protected] or calling 910 118 277.
The 21st Silves Medieval Fair will once again transform the historic town into a bustling medieval city, featuring period markets, entertainment, music, food and historical re-enactments.
