Active in jihadi, pro-ISIS groups, had downloaded how to make explosive belt

A 17-year-old Italian girl was

arrested near Pavia Friday for expressing her readiness for

martyrdom in the name of Allah.

Active in jihadist-inspired online groups and openly in support

of the Islamic State, in chats with peers, including foreigners,

likely affiliated with ISIS, she also expressed "the desire for

martyrdom in the name of Allah."

The girl was arrested by police as part of an investigation

coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of the Juvenile Court of

Milan, which ordered her to be held in pre-trial detention.

She had also downloaded onto her computer a manual on how to

prepare homemade explosive devices, including an explosive belt.
