Fire and Emergency has confirmed that New Zealand is sending firefighters to the United States to help fight wildfires.
More than 850-wildfires are burning across Canada with officials saying the vast majority are out of control.
Dangerous smoke had reportedly seeped down to the United States, affecting millions of people across multiple states.
ABC News was reporting that Australia and New Zealand were to send firefighters to the United States, following a request for help.
A Fire and Emergency spokeperson confirmed the reports.
