A new community fitness event is set to combine exercise with a good cause, with organisers calling it Malta’s first Pride charity fitness event.
Pride FitFest, organised by CrossFit Martell in Gżira, will take place on Saturday 5th September, with 100% of donations going directly to Allied Rainbow Communities.
The event aims to bring people together through movement while raising funds for the NGO, which supports Malta’s LGBTQ+ community.
Importantly, Pride FitFest isn’t just for seasoned gym-goers. Organisers say the workout is open to people of all ages, fitness levels and experience, with coaches adapting the exercises so everyone can take part.
Entry requires a minimum €20 donation, although participants are welcome to contribute more on the day. Every euro raised will be donated directly to Allied Rainbow Communities.
“At CrossFit Martell, we believe fitness has the power to bring people together,” organisers said, explaining that the event is designed to celebrate inclusion, encourage people to stay active and support an important local cause.
Those interested in taking part can register through CrossFit Martell ahead of the event.
