Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Yuni Moraza said the government has allocated Rp300 trillion (around US$16.7 billion) to provide easy financing for micro-entrepreneurs.
Speaking after the launch of Kumitra (Business Ease through Partnership) programme in Yogyakarta on Friday, Helvi highlighted President Prabowo Subianto's strong commitment to supporting MSMEs, particularly by streamlining access to capital.
"This is a government-designed initiative. Specifically for financing, we have set aside approximately Rp300 trillion to facilitate MSME funding through the People's Business Credit (KUR) scheme," he said.
Moraza noted that out of the total Rp300 trillion budget, Rp167 trillion had already been disbursed to MSMEs across Indonesia by mid-2026.
"This means we have reached nearly 60 percent. This is why we continue to carry out initiatives like this, with the support of the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara), national private banks, and online advocates," he added.

To ensure the programme truly benefits small businesses, he stressed that MSME financing channeled through government-partnered banks will be continuously monitored.
"For their convenience, we are facilitating the licensing process free of charge. President Prabowo is deeply dedicated to supporting MSMEs, which includes finding ways to open up market access," he remarked.
Regarding the newly launched Kumitra programme, the deputy minister explained it aims to help MSMEs grow, scale up, and sustain their business operations in Yogyakarta.
"We, at the Ministry of MSMEs, must sustain MSME growth by fostering new entrepreneurs and providing tailored support based on the scale of their businesses," Moraza said.
