Electric Kick Scooter Catches Fire Inside Mtarfa Garage

Civil Protection Department firefighters were called to Mtarfa this morning after an electric kick scooter caught fire inside a semi-basement garage.

Firefighters from Fire Station 4 responded to the incident and were forced to gain entry after immediate access to the garage could not be obtained.

Once inside, crews found the electric scooter engulfed in flames. The scooter was safely removed from the garage before the fire was extinguished using water, preventing it from spreading further.

No injuries were reported.

Officers from the Malta Police Force’s 10th District and a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital also assisted at the scene.
