
MANILA, Philippines — Heavy to intense rain showers are forecast over several areas in Luzon on Saturday afternoon, July 18, the state weather bureau said.
According to the 3 p.m weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the following areas may experience heavy rains with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours:
Pampanga
Rizal
Cavite
Batangas

Meanwhile, similar rainfall and strong winds conditions are being experienced over Tarlac, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, and Laguna, which may persist within the next two hours and may affect nearby areas.

Pagasa advised the public to take precautionary measures on possible flash floods and landslides during intense weather conditions.
Earlier, the weather bureau said that the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is likely to draw rains over the western section of northern Luzon on Saturday. /jpv
