
The management of Joseph Prince Films has denied reports that popular TikToker and filmmaker Joseph Prince, popularly known as Joffy, has died, saying he is receiving medical treatment after he was allegedly stabbed during an attack by street touts.
In a statement released on Friday on his official TikTok handle, the management released photos of the content creator on hospital bed, while describing the reports of his death circulating on social media as false.
“We wish to state unequivocally that these reports are false. Joseph Prince (Joffy) is alive,” the statement read.
According to the management, the incident occurred while Joffy and members of the Joseph Prince Films production team were returning from a promotional ticket sales campaign for their forthcoming movie, The Last Bell, during which they were documenting their activities.
The statement alleged that the team was confronted by a group of street touts who demanded money.
“According to the production team, they were confronted by a group of street touts who demanded money. The situation escalated, production equipment was seized, a cast member’s phone was taken, another team member was assaulted, and the incident turned violent.”
The management disclosed that Joffy sustained a stab wound during the altercation, while other members of the production team also suffered injuries and emotional trauma.

“During the altercation, Joseph Prince (Joffy) sustained a stab injury, while other members of the team also suffered injuries and emotional trauma.”
It added that the content creator remains under medical care and urged the public to ignore reports claiming he had died.
“Joseph Prince (Joffy) remains under medical care. Reports claiming that he has died are entirely false and should be disregarded,” the statement added.
Following the incident, the management announced the postponement of the release of The Last Bell, saying the recovery and well-being of those affected had become its immediate priority.
“In light of these unfortunate events and as our immediate priority is the recovery and well-being of everyone affected, the release of our upcoming film, The Last Bell, has been postponed until further notice.”
The management thanked members of the public for their prayers and support and appealed to them not to spread unverified information.
“We respectfully urge everyone to refrain from sharing unverified information. Official updates will only be released through the official platforms of Joseph Prince Films,” the statement said.
