Zaldy Co’s lawyer arrives at Senate for flood control probe

MANILA, Philippines — Former Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co’s legal counsel, Ruy Rondain arrived at the Senate to attend the blue ribbon committee hearing conducted by the Cayetano bloc. Co is facing graft and malversation charges for his alleged involvement in anomalous flood control projects in Oriental Mindoro. The former lawmaker is still on the run, and according to Malacañang, Co sought asylum in France. Co previously alleged that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Rep.
