
EXCLUSIVE: Debra Messing has signed with Paradigm for representation.
Messing is best known for her Emmy award-winning performance as Grace Adler in NBC’s hit comedy Will & Grace. The David Kohan and Max Mutchnick-created series, which ran for 11 seasons, focused on the friendship between Grace, a straight interior designer, and gay attorney Will, played by Eric McCormack. For her work on the series in 2003, she received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. She also received four additional Emmy nods in other seasons of the series.
She also starred in and produced USA’s miniseries The Starter Wife, for which she received a Golden Globe, Emmy, and SAG nomination. Messing is also known for her roles in NBC’s Smash and The Mysteries of Laura, ABC’s remake of Dirty Dancing, and 13: The Musical for Netflix.
On the film side, Messing most recently starred in the Warner Brothers film Alto Knights opposite Robert DeNiro, directed by Barry Levinson. Previously, she starred in the Sony thriller Searching, alongside John Cho, for director Aneesh Chaganty. Additional notable film credits include Universal’s Along Came Polly with Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston, Universal’s The Wedding Date opposite Dermot Mulroney, and Bros, from Universal and produced by Judd Apatow.
Messing recently starred in the Off-Broadway new play Shit.Meet.Fan. written and directed by Robert O’Hara. She also starred on Broadway in Noah Haidle’s Birthday Candles and the Tony Award-nominated production of John Patrick Shanley’s Outside Mullingar.
Messing was previously represented at Gersh.
