One person is in a serious condition and two are moderately injured after a Saturday morning crash between a bus and up to three cars in west Auckland.
Police said the incident occurred on the busy Te Atatu Road at at about 11.35am.
Auckland Transport (AT) said the two bus passengers and driver were uninjured and the passengers have been transferred to another bus.
Hato Hone St John said the person in a serious condition had been taken to Auckland City Hospital and the two others were in Waitakere Hospital.
The road had since been reopened but there was traffic congestion in the area.
One car appeared to be a write-off, a second has suffered significant damage and a third has limited damage to the front of the vehicle.

A neighbour in the area told an RNZ reporter he believed an overtaking manoeuvre was responsible for the crash, but there had been no official confirmation of the cause yet.

AT said it would work with emergency services on any investigations that were to be carried out.
