Police have arrested a man and woman after a man died on the New South Wales North Coast.
Emergency services were called to a home in Tweed Heads about 2am Saturday following reports a man had been assaulted.
The man, in his 30s, had allegedly been assaulted at The Hermitage in Tweed Heads South before he made his way to a home on Seaview Crescent.
Paramedics treated the man at house, but he died at the scene.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman at a Tweed Heads home a short time later.
They were taken to Tweed Heads police station where inquiries are continuing.
A crime scene has been set up and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
