Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Sunday Rose Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at Met Gala Dress Creation
There’s nothing but upsides when Nicole Kidman shows off her naturally curly hair.
The Upsides actress ditched her usual sleek locks as she showed off her blonde ringlets while enjoying a casual day in nature.
In a photo shared to her Instagram June 6, Nicole—wearing jeans, a blue button-up shirt and white sneakers—ditched all glitz and glam as she leaned against a farm fence with her head thrown back to enjoy the fresh air.
Meanwhile, the Babygirl star let her tresses hang free as her natural curls cascaded down her shoulders.
As she captioned the snap, which also featured horses in the distance, “Weekend Vibes.”
Though Nicole’s signature hairdo has included straightened locks and perfectly manicured bangs as of late, she previously shared how much she misses wearing her locks in their natural state.
Indeed, when she looks back at herself in films such as 1990's Days of Thunder, she wonders why she ever put heat on her hair at all.
"Why did I straighten my hair?" the 58-year-old told Allure in a May 2025 interview. "I love my hair there. That is my natural hair. Isn't that crazy?”
“So, little girls out there, embrace the curl,” she added. “Do not follow in my steps and straighten your hair."
Though Nicole—who shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, with ex-husband Keith Urban—says there are "certain things" she can do to revive her natural curls, the conditions have to be just perfect.
As she put it, "It needs to be kind of humid and I need to use the right product,”
"But it was very humid down there," she added of the Days of Thunder filming location, Daytona Beach, Fla. "Thus, I have very wild, curly hair."
And the Practical Magic star’s favorite part about her natural hair?
"I look like my daughters," she said, "Well, that makes sense."
And that’s not the only way Nicole—also mom to Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, with ex-husband Tom Cruise—feels connected to her kids. After all, she recently revealed the unconventional rule her teens must abide by at home.

“Both my daughters will kill me for saying this,” Nicole told Hoda Kotb at the live speaker series HISTORYTalks in Philadelphia, Penn., April 18, per People, “but I'm like, ‘You need to hug [me] for two minutes a day.'”
“It releases certain chemicals in the body,” she added, “and everyone needs to be hugged for about two minutes a day.”
But Nicole isn’t the only star showing off a new ‘do. For a look at more celebrity hair transformations, read on…
