
MANILA, Philippines — Levito Baligod, the legal counsel of the supposed former employees of former Congressman Zaldy Co, said on Monday that the affidavit presented by National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag is “fake.” Matibag earlier presented a sworn statement and affidavit claiming that the 18 individuals, who say they are Co’s bagmen, were allegedly bribed by former Congressman Mike Defensor. “Matibag should be prosecuted for using that fake affidavit.
