Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two suspected drug traffickers and recovered illicit substances during a raid in the state.
The suspects, identified as Henry Edward and Okwudili Kingsley, were arrested by operatives of the Command’s Anti-Vice Squad (CAVS).
The spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, said the suspects were apprehended following intelligence received on June 2, 2026.

According to him, operatives acting on credible intelligence raided a suspected drug distribution point at Alegbo Community, Owa-Alero, in Ika North-East Local Government Area, where the two suspects were arrested.
Preliminary investigations, he said, revealed that the suspects allegedly operated a drug distribution network within the area.
Edafe said items recovered during the operation included five gallons of fermented cannabis mixture popularly known as “Monkey Tail,” as well as large quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.
He added that the suspects and exhibits are currently in police custody, while investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest other members of the network.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and other forms of criminality across the state.
