
The Residency Malta agency will not open its doors tomorrow, Tuesday 9th June, following the death of its Chief Executive Officer, Jonathan Cardona.
The Ministry for Education and Sport announced that the agency will remain closed as a mark of respect and to allow employees to attend Cardona’s funeral.
In a statement, the ministry expressed its sorrow at the loss and thanked Cardona for the valuable service and contribution he made throughout the years in various roles within Malta’s public service.
The ministry also extended its sincere condolences to Cardona’s family, relatives and friends.
Cardona served as CEO of the Residence Malta Agency and was involved in several positions within the public service during his career.
