The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy has congratulated its member, Dr Adenike Fasina, on her appointment as the Head of Service of Oyo State.
The institute described the appointment as the culmination of a 26-year career in public service marked by professionalism, discipline, ethical practice and commitment to public administration.
It noted in a statement that her elevation was consistent with her record, including her recognition as a two-time recipient of the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award. The Tuesday statement was jointly signed by the Head, Media Team, Jide Ologun, and the President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Olasunkade Azeez.
ILCS commended the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for what it described as a merit-based appointment. “This merit-based appointment, which was devoid of sentimental considerations and founded on thorough evaluation, identified Dr. Fasina as the best fit for this critical role,” the institute said.
It added that the decision reflects the governor’s commitment to excellence, fairness, equity and the strengthening of the state civil service.
ILCS also acknowledged the service of her predecessor, Chief Mrs Olubunmi Oni, describing her tenure as one that contributed to a more professional and reform-driven civil service in the state.

It said it is confident that under Fasina’s leadership, the civil service would be further strengthened, enhancing Oyo State’s standing among Nigerian states.
