
MANILA, Philippines — Railway passengers can avail of free rides in all stations of Metro Rail Transit 3, Light Rail Transit (LRT) 1 and 2 for a certain period of time on Friday, June 12 as the nation marks its 128th Independence Day.
June 12 was declared as a regular holiday, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, LRT-1 said that that the following schedule will be implemented on the said holiday:
First train: 5 a.m. for both Dr. Santos and Fernando Poe Jr. stations
Last train: 9:30 p.m. for Dr. Santos station and 9:45 p.m. for Fernando Poe Jr. station /gsg
