MANILA, Philippines — A 14-year-old person with disability (PWD) died after allegedly being mauled by six minors in Parañaque City, a police report said.
The victim had met with one of the suspects in BF Homes last Friday afternoon as part of a meet-up to buy a pair of shorts the latter was selling online, according to a Southern Police District (SPD) report.
“While transacting with one of the suspects, the victim was suddenly assaulted by the group. The suspects repeatedly attacked the victim, causing serious injuries,” the police report said.

“After the assault, the suspects fled the scene while the witness sought help. The victim was immediately brought to a hospital for emergency medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries,” it added.
It did not mention any possible motive for the PWD’s mauling.
However, the police said the six minors were arrested and turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
A murder case was filed against the six minors before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office, according to the SPD.
