
LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — The Philippines may experience as many as 13 tropical cyclones from June to November this year, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). The state weather bureau said between nine and 13 tropical cyclones could either form within or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) during the six-month period. Pagasa added that July to October marks the peak of the typhoon season, during which nearly 70 percent of all typhoons form.
