
LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Byron Garcia posted bail on Saturday, June 13, after being detained on sexual harassment charges. Garcia, the younger brother of former Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and a former Cebu jail chief and Capitol consultant, said in a Facebook post that he regained temporary liberty after posting ₱108,000 bail at around 11 a.m. on Saturday, the same day of his release. Judge Jennifer Pepito-Maniwang of Branch 1 of the Mandaue City Municipal Trial Court in Cities signed Garcia’s release order.
