Argentina’s stock market did not trade on Monday June 15, 2026. The Buenos Aires exchange was closed for Martin Miguel de Guemes Day, one of the country’s public holidays, so there was no session and no new closing prices. Our daily Argentina coverage returns with the Tuesday June 16 session. The Merval enters that session near 3.35 million, holding the record it reached last week.
The Buenos Aires stock exchange was closed on Monday June 15 for Martin Miguel de Guemes Day, a national public holiday honoring one of the heroes of Argentina’s independence. With no trading, there were no price moves, no volume and no closing levels to report, so there is no market session to cover for the day.
This is a routine calendar closure rather than anything to do with market conditions. Colombia’s exchange was shut the same day for its own holiday, while Brazil, Mexico and Chile traded as normal.

Colombia’s Stock Market Was Closed for a Holiday on Monday

Argentina heads into its next session sitting on a record. Last Thursday the Merval leapt 6.34% to an all-time high near 3.35 million, and on Friday it held almost all of that gain, finishing essentially flat as it digested the move. That close is the level the market carries into Tuesday.
The rally rests on confidence in the government’s reform program, a steady peso and the prospect of an upgrade to emerging-market status. For the full picture, see our most recent Argentina session report below. Normal daily coverage resumes with the Tuesday June 16 session, filed the following morning.
