Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) underscored Germany’s role as one of Indonesia’s strategic partners in Europe, citing strong ties in investment, technology, manufacturing, vocational education, and sustainable industry development.
“We see plenty of opportunities to make cooperation more concrete, especially in fields related to investment, technology transfers, value-added industry development, renewable energy, and human resource capacity enhancement,” HIPMI Central Executive Board Chair Ade Jona Prasetyo said.
In a statement cited here on Tuesday, he noted that the recent Jakarta meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was of chief importance for bilateral relations.
He expressed confidence that Steinmeier’s visit had opened new avenues for collaboration between business actors from both countries.
As a major business organization, HIPMI stood ready to help foster stronger connections between Indonesian entrepreneurs and counterparts in Germany, aiming to boost national competitiveness and broaden global market outreach.
“The relationship between Indonesia and Germany is rooted in a robust foundation. HIPMI is ready to act as a strategic partner connecting business actors from both countries. We aim to stimulate more collaboration on business, investment, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship development programs,” Prasetyo affirmed.
He said Indonesia could draw lessons from Germany’s expertise in manufacturing industry modernization and vocational education development to create a more suitable ecosystem for businesses and industries to grow.
The HIPMI leader also voiced hope that evolving bilateral ties would benefit Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises, paving the way for them to penetrate European markets.
“We believe that strong economic cooperation will become a vital foundation to strengthen bilateral relations. Indonesian young entrepreneurs are ready to be part of the Indonesia-Germany strategic partnership in the future,” he concluded.
