Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Step Out for Broadway Date Night at ‘Oh, Mary!’
Taylor Swift is pacing in her pen again.
Just over six months since the Grammy winner dropped her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl, it would appear she’s once again working on new music with a nine-hour, overnight visit to Electric Lady Studios in New York June 15.
Indeed, Swift arrived at Electric Lady—where she has previously recorded The Tortured Poets Department, Midnights, Lover and more tracks—in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan around 8:30 p.m. the evening of June 15 and did not leave until the 6 a.m. the following morning. Accompanying her on the way out were longtime pals Alana Haim and Danielle Haim.
For the outing, Swift—who got engaged to Travis Kelce last August—wore a pair of jeans with a brown polo shirt and matching sandal heels. She topped off the look with a large brown bag and some opal jewelry, which has become a statement in her wardrobe in the last few months.
Swift’s latest recording session comes just weeks after she put out her newest song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, which she recorded alongside her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.
“Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” the 36-year-old wrote in an Instagram June 5 celebrating the song’s release. “Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.”
Speaking to the country roots tied into the song, Swift added, “We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods.”

And while the Grammy winner hasn’t revealed any information about what’s currently brewing in Electric Lady Studios, it’s likely whatever music she releases next will be a hit. After all, Swift recently received a huge songwriting honor earlier this month, becoming the youngest woman to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame June 11.
During the ceremony, the “Karma” singer emphasized how easily a song can come to her.
“When I say that songwriting was the easiest part for me, I think what I mean is that it was instinctual,” Swift said during her acceptance speech. “No one taught me how to do it. I had to be taught how to entertain a crowd and learn choreography and be less annoying and navigate the industry and fiercely protect my own sanity. I had to learn all of that over time through difficult lessons and massive amounts of trial and error and chaos and calamity.”
Swift highlighted, “But songwriting for me was pretty much the only thing I ever just naturally did.”
