EXCLUSIVE: The Season 1 finale of AMC‘s The Audicity introduced an unknown character, who has now officially been cast.
Miriam Shor (Pluribus, Younger) has joined the Season 2 cast as Randy Flemming, a shrewd and unintimidated FBI Agent who enjoys the hunt like a cat relishes playing with a mouse. Randy’s name was revealed during JoAnne’s (Sarah Golberg) conversation with an unseen FBI agent in the closing moments of the finale.
Season 2 of The Audacity is set to commence production this month in Vancouver, Canada, and will debut in 2027.
From creator, writer, and executive producer Jonathan Glatzer, The Audacity is set inside the bubble of Silicon Valley and takes on the warped dreams, outsized egos, and ethical lapses of the self-styled inventors of the future. In a world of jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros, AI labs, and disillusioned teens being optimized in elite private schools, an audacious data-mining CEO (Billy Magnussen) strives to turn insight and influence into profit and power. The darkly comedic drama confronts reality, privacy, and the delusions fueling our ever-changing world.
Season 1 also starred Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, and Rob Corddry.
AMC renewed The Audacity in March, ahead of the Silicon Valley drama’s Season 1 premiere. Season 2 will also consist of 10 episodes.
Shor can currently be seen in Vince Gilligan’s Apple TV series Pluribus. She is perhaps best known for portraying Diana Trout in Younger, starring opposite Sutton Foster. Shor also recurred in the final season of FX’s The Americans. Her film credits include American Fiction, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Maestro, Bedazzled, and Puerto Ricans in Paris. Shor is repped by Impression Entertainment, Gersh and Schreck Rose Dapello.
