Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Xo Shares Cryptic Posts Amid Breakup
Bunnie Xo was looking forward to giving Jelly Roll hugs and kisses forever.
The Dumb Blonde podcast host celebrated 10 years with the “Bloodline” singer just two weeks before May 9—the date Jelly Roll listed as their date of separation in his divorce documents obtained by E! News.
Bunnie (real name Alisa DeFord) posted a touching video to Instagram April 25 with several throwback videos of her and Jelly Roll set to Khalid’s 2017 song “Young Dumb & Broke.”
The 46-year-old captioned the video, “2016 to 2026 My baby forever.. so proud of the man he is.”
News of the couple’s split was made public on June 15, with court records revealing that Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) had filed for divorce from Bunnie on May 18. The 41-year-old said in the filing that they split due to "irreconcilable differences” back on May 9.
Still, Bunnie was finding ways to highlight her relationship with the Grammy winner and his 18-year-old daughter Bailee Ann, posting a video to TikTok on May 9 of herself posing with the two.
“Never believed in ever after happily ’til y’all,” she wrote on the video, adding in the caption, “My babies forever #baileeandbunnie #jellyandbunnie.”
Despite the breakup, she shared the same video to her Instagram May 10 in honor of Mother’s Day, writing, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas.. dog moms, cat moms, cow moms, bonus moms, plant moms, & the women who love with a mother’s heart. The world’s softer because of you.”

Throughout their relationship, both Bunnie and Jelly Roll—who is also dad to 9-year-old son Noah—were candid about the difficulties they faced, especially after Jelly Roll admitted to cheating on the podcaster in 2018. However, the two previously believed that their struggles made their relationship stronger.
"I want people to know, 'Hey, it took a lot of work, guts and grit to get to where we are,'" Bunnie told E! in February. "Everything’s beautiful now, but it wasn't in the beginning. Just us being together was just two souls that were merging that were broken and just formed a whole piece. And we helped each other heal, and we have continued to elevate and grow in these past 10 years.”
She added at the time, "I couldn’t be happier. That dude’s my best friend."
