
Bea Millan-Windorski may have been crowned Miss Universe Philippines, but that did not prevent her from receiving an award at the Miss Universe Myanmar pageant.
The American-Filipino activist and environmental advocate got to parade on the stage of the neighboring country’s pageant when she received the “Best Fashion Award” in the female category at the show held in Yangon on Wednesday evening, June 17.
Windorski was invited as a special guest to the 2026 Miss Universe Myanmar pageant. Her predecessor, 74th Miss Universe third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo, sat in the judging panel.

The reigning titleholder appeared in a burnt orange ensemble by ace fashion designer Mark Bumgarner with an imposing chest piece that juts beyond her arms, cutouts on the sides, and a smattering of sparkle peeking on the chest.

Windorski got to show off her “pasarela” (fashion walk) in Myanmar as she lit up the stage with her infectious smile that she flashed to the Burmese candidates and the crowd.
She waved to the audience as she made her way to the stage to receive her sash, then sashayed down the runway to the people’s loud cheers, a rockstar moment for the Filipino queen on foreign soil.

Windorski has been enjoying a massive fanbase that extends beyond the shores of the Philippines. She was an immediate frontrunner among international observers the moment she signed up for the national pageant in February, something that came as no surprise given her impressive resumé.
In 2024, while still living in Wisoncsin, she was crowned as Miss Earth USA, then flew to Manila to represent the United State at the 24th Miss Earth pageant.

She was crowned Miss Earth-Water at the international competition, and decided to move to the Philippines for good after relinquishing her national title to her successor in the US.
Windorski is set to compete in the 75th edition of the Miss Universe pageant that will be held in Puerto Rico in November, on a mission to post the Philippines’ fifth victory in the international competition.

Crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 was May Grace Parry. She will be joining Windorski in Puerto Rico and will try to score her country’s first-ever Miss Universe victory. /edv
