Bus Driver Fined After Reckless Driving Video Goes Viral in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. A bus driver has been penalized by traffic police for reckless driving on the streets of Kathmandu after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

In recent days, a video showing a bus (BA 4 Kha 111) driving over the road divider in a dangerous attempt to bypass traffic congestion has widely circulated online, drawing strong criticism from the public and calls for action against the driver.

In the footage, the driver can be seen crossing the divider to move through heavy traffic, an action that authorities say poses a serious risk to road safety.

Following public complaints and verification of the video, the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Airport, took action on Wednesday and fined the driver, Bhim Bahadur Tamang.
