Jakarta (ANTARA) - The South Jakarta Community Alliance has said that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is important and needed by the public, especially children in remote areas, to support the vision of Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045.
"President Prabowo is providing meals for Indonesian children. Even if there are shortcomings, they are not the fault of the program itself. We should work together to fix and improve the system," Head Coordinator of the South Jakarta Community Alliance, Fakhri Ikbar, said when met here on Thursday.
He said the MBG program represents an important investment in the nation's future so that Indonesian children can compete globally.
According to him, the program also focuses directly on fulfilling the rights of ordinary citizens.
"Pertamax (premium fuel oil) is for the wealthy, while MBG is for the Indonesian people, especially children. Once again, we, the Indonesian people, the youth in the regions, continue to support President Prabowo's programs, especially MBG," Ikbar said.
Meanwhile, regarding the dynamics of the program's implementation in the field, Ikbar emphasized the need for active participation from all elements of society in monitoring the program, rather than using it as a source of division.
In addition to supporting the MBG program, the alliance also expressed its full support for other strategic government agendas, including corruption eradication and the continuation of downstream industrialization programs, which it believes have a direct impact on the welfare of lower-income communities.
The peaceful rally, which took place at 1:36 p.m. Jakarta time, was attended by 10 thousand representatives from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, as well as various other regions. Participants included youth groups, women, and workers in the MBG ecosystem.
