UFC‘s spectacle on the White House lawn averaged 8.2M viewers across the U.S. and Latin America, Paramount said Thursday.
Per the company, that’s the best “exclusive” live event audience ever for Paramount+, which likely means it excludes streaming audiences for major events in several other sports, particularly football and basketball.
The UFC Freedom 250 viewership from international territories will be available at a later date.
Paramount also says that the fight reached a record 17M total viewers, referring to the total number of users who tuned in at any point during the telecast.
Sunday’s Ultimate Fighting Championship event, that also coincided with Donald Trump‘s 80th birthday, was billed as one of the Freedom 250 events celebrating America’s sesquecentennial.
