What Bunnie Xo Said About Having Kids With Jelly Roll Before Breakup
Bunnie Xo isn't hopping away from the truth about her divorce from Jelly Roll.
Days after news that Jelly Roll (real name Jason Deford) had filed for divorce from the podcaster in May following nearly 10 years of marriage, she addressed their breakup, emphasizing "nobody cheated" and that the split was an amicable one.
"He has always been my best friend and I love that man more than life itself," Bunnie (real name Alisa DeFord) said on the June 16 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. "You guys have seen how I ride for that mofo. Even to this day, behind the scenes, your girl is still riding for that man—and I always will."
"We saved each other," continued the 46-year-old, who has been open about her and the country music star's past struggles with drug addiction. "We served our purpose for each other."
That's why Bunnie said she and Jelly Roll are both comfortable with each other moving onto a new chapter.
"Has my husband started dating? Yes, he has—and we're happy for him," she shared. "And I'm excited to discover myself single."
In fact, she isn’t planning to tie the knot for a fourth time.
"Your girl is not going to ever be in another relationship. I'm sorry to break your heart, guys,” she quipped. "I'm about to be a player."
Prior to the news of Jelly Roll's divorce filing, in which he listed May 9 as the date of separation, Bunnie shared a cryptic Instagram Story, writing alongside a snap of herself in lingerie, "She's getting her sparkle back."
Their relationship had some public ups and downs since tying the knot in 2016, with Jelly Roll's infidelity in 2018 leading to a month-long breakup with Bunnie.
"I don't talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife," he said on the Human School podcast in October 2025. "Because it was the first time that I was like, 'I really can't get this right at all. I know I'm in love with this woman.' It just really, really, really blew me back."

"I did a lot of work to repair that relationship," he emphasized. "The repair has been special, man. We're stronger than we could've ever been. I wish our story would've went in the way that it never had an affair, and I'm in no way glad it happened, but, man, I'm proud of who we are today."
For Bunnie's part, she hasn't shied away from discussing their trials and tribulations, either.
"I always want people to know when they look at us," she told E! News in February, "we are not role models. We are the prime example of what not to be, especially in the beginning. I want people to know, like, 'Hey, it took a lot of work, guts and grit to get to where we are. Everything's beautiful now, but it wasn't in the beginning.'"
"Just us being together was just two souls that were merging, that were broken and just formed a whole piece," Bunnie continued. "We helped each other heal and we have continued to elevate and grow in these past 10 years. I couldn't be happier with that. That dude's my best friend."

As for how she and the 41-year-old were able to work through their problems? Not easily.
"We went to get therapy together and we thought that we were going to be really cool because we got a woman and a man therapist to sit in with us," she recalled. "It became a knock-down, drag-out fight in this freaking therapy session where this couple was just sitting there staring at us."
"We both left that session just so mad at each other," Bunnie admitted. "Then we ended up coming back together, and we were like, 'You know what? I choose you. I forgive you for who you were before this. But moving forward, this is what I need from you.' We've just decided that we're gonna ride this thing 'til the wheels fall off."
