Jelly Roll's Daughter Bailee Ann "Disgusted" by Comments on Bunnie Xo Divorce
Bunnie Xo is stripping down her breakup with Jelly Roll.
Three days after news broke that the "Twisted" singer filed for divorce from the Stripped Down author, Bunnie addressed the split for the first time, saying "it's been hell" to keep the secret after their May 9 breakup.
As she said on the June 18 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, "I am so relieved that the f--king news is out, 'cause holy s--t."
During the episode, she explained that the pair are still close and are even planning to have a baby together after embarking on an IVF journey years ago.
"That's my f--king best friend, dude. Like, I love him," she said. "And you guys are going to be shocked to hear this, but we're still having a baby... We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered."
She noted that the couple—who tied the knot in 2016—have been through "so much" together with three unsuccessful embryo transfers, including one set of twins.
"We lost the two twins that we were going to try to have and then we lost the other two," she said. "Anybody going through that and has to deal with these miscarriages, it's gut-wrenching."
And while Bunnie noted Jelly Roll is moving on and dating again, she has no ill will toward her ex.
"The most important part here is that everybody's so hung up on our past and what we built together, which I mean, we did a f--king great job," she said. "But our future is so much more important. And being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other."

That's why Bunnie is "not going to say anything about J's actions" because "I don't feel like it's the right time and I don't feel like it's my place."
As for the reason for the breakup? She said they haven't been communicating well over the past year and a half.
"We just weren't on the same page. I stopped chasing him," she explained, later adding, "J and I have never been really good at having disagreements. So we were the type of couple who never argued, so he would be holding things in, I would be holding things in, and that's a recipe for disaster."

Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) filed for divorce from Bunnie (real name Alisa DeFord) on May 18 in Tennessee. After nearly 10 years of marriage, their date of separation was listed as May 9, with "irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
While Bunnie's podcast episode marked the first time she publicly commented on the news, she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories hours before the split was made public, writing, "She's getting her sparkle back" alongside a lingerie photo.

Jelly Roll, meanwhile, has yet to address his breakup from Bunnie. However, the 41-year-old removed his now-ex's username from his Instagram bio following the news.
His account previously showed a lock, key and Bunnie's handle @xomgitsbunnie. His bio now simply reads: "Music Man."
During their relationship, Bunnie and the "All My Life" singer—dad to Bailee, 18, and Noah, 9, from previous relationships—expressed their plans to expand their family, with the couple starting their fertility journey in 2019.
Indeed, Bunnie shared in her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, which was released in February, that she and Jelly Roll were trying to have twins via surrogate.
“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” she wrote. "J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”
She continued, "I’ve waited this long to have kids with someone I knew would be a great father—and to be able to make sure they have the best life.”
And while the pair have called it quits, read on to take a look back at happier times in their relationship.
