One dead after Great Barrier Island crash

One person has died in a car crash on Great Barrier Island on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Mulberry Grove Road and Shoal Bay Road around midday.

Police said one person was found dead at the scene and there are no other injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene investigating.
