Car and motorbike collision closes Palmerston North highway

Pioneer Highway has been closed following a crash near Palmerston North on Saturday evening.

A car and a motorbike collided around 6pm at the intersection with Amberley Ave in Highbury.

Emergency services attended the scene, where there were serious injuries reported.

Police advise motorists to avoid the area and expect delays.
