Caravan burnt down after Wellington house fire

One house has been extensively damaged and a caravan destroyed in a fire in Titahi Bay north of Wellington.

Fire and Emergency say the fire began in a house and then quickly spread to a neighbouring property due to high winds.

Two caravans caught fire on the property - one has been completely burnt, while another was saved.

No injuries have been reported.

Eight appliances have been at the scene.
