
CEBU CITY, Philippines — A two-story house was destroyed by a fire that hit Sitio Anahaw in Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City on Thursday morning, June 18.
According to the Cebu City Fire Station, the Buhisan fire was reported at 10:44 a.m., prompting firefighters to respond to the area.
The blaze was raised to the first alarm at 10:50 a.m., six minutes after authorities received the report.

Firefighters declared the fire under control at 11 a.m. before putting it out completely at 11:18 a.m.
House destroyed
The fire destroyed a two-story residential structure owned and occupied by Flora E. Tangpos and her family.
Authorities said the house, measuring around 38 square meters, was totally damaged by the fire.
The affected household consisted of two families with a total of four individuals.
Based on initial estimates from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire caused around P60,000 in property damage.
No casualties reported
The Cebu City Fire Station said no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.

Authorities also confirmed that no casualties were recorded among the occupants.
A total of 12 responders took part in the firefighting operations, including three BFP fire trucks and nine auxiliary responders.
As of this writing, investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection are continuing to determine what caused the Buhisan fire.
