The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the appointment of Mr AbdulRasheed Abubakar, ANIPR, Chief Executive Officer of CogniRep Strategies Holding Co., as the International Representative and Liaison for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
The appointment unveiled by the NIPR President and a Board member of Global Alliance of Public Relations Hon. Dr. Ike Neliaku, underscores Mr. Abubakar’s growing influence in global communications and strategic stakeholder engagement in Africa and around the world.
In his new role, he will lead international outreach efforts, particularly within the United States, fostering partnerships, sponsorships, and participation from distinguished global leaders, policymakers, academics, and communication professionals ahead of the landmark forum scheduled for November 15–21, 2026, in Abuja, Nigeria.
A respected public relations strategist and corporate communications expert, Abubakar is the founder and CEO of CogniRep Strategies Holding Co and CABS World TV a platform showcasing Africa to the world.
He is also widely recognized among +600 Diaspora Icons by Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), an initiative that celebrates and amplifies the achievements of Nigerians globally.
Adding to his impressive professional profile, Abubakar holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., one of the world’s leading institutions for communications, public policy, and international affairs. His academic background, combined with extensive international networks and industry experience, positions him as a strong ambassador for Nigeria’s public relations profession on the global stage.
According to NIPR, the appointment reflects confidence in his ability to strengthen international collaborations and elevate Nigeria’s reputation within the global communications ecosystem.
The World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026 is expected to attract delegates from across continents, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and conversations shaping the future of public relations and strategic communications.
The event is also anticipated to project Nigeria and Africa as emerging hubs for excellence in professional communication, leadership, and reputation management.
