
TARLAC CITY — A minor person of interest has been placed under custody following the discovery of the body of a missing six-year-old girl in a farm area in Victoria, Tarlac province on Friday evening, June 19, at the boundary of Barangay San Agustin and Barangay San Nicolas.
The Grade 2 pupil was reported missing after she was last seen at San Agustin Elementary School in Victoria town wearing her school uniform — a white shirt and skirt.

Based on CCTV footage review, the Victoria Municipal Police Station identified the minor and took the individual into custody in accordance with the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006.
Authorities have requested a medico-legal examination from the Tarlac Provincial Forensic Unit to determine the cause of the child’s death. Investigation is ongoing. /das
