Sixty-five recruits, including eight women, have officially joined the Armed Forces of Malta as Gunners following the completion of Recruit Intake 261.
The milestone was marked during a Passing Out Parade held last Thursday, attended by Minister for Home Affairs and Security Glen Bedingfield, senior AFM officials, and the families and friends of the recruits.
Footage shared by the Armed Forces of Malta shows the ceremony and the culmination of months of intensive training designed to test both physical capability and mental resilience.
Addressing the recruits, AFM Commander Brigadier Clinton J. O’Neill praised their transformation from individuals into a united squad, highlighting the teamwork developed throughout their training.
The parade marks the end of recruit training and the beginning of the soldiers’ military careers in service of Malta.
Congratulations to the new Gunners!
