Céline Dion and 3 Sons Send Message to Her Husband René Angélil 10 Years After His Death
The memories are all coming back to Céline Dion.
The 58-year-old reflected on the impact that her late husband René Angélil and her late father Adhémar Dion had on her in a touching Father’s Day post.
“On Father’s Day, I’m thinking of the two extraordinary men who helped shape the course of my life,” she shared on Instagram June 21. “My father Adhémar who was—and always will be—my biggest fan. And René, my love, my one and only love, who won everyone’s heart, but above all was the greatest father to my three boys, whom he adored.”
Dion continued, signing her message on behalf of herself as well as her and Angélil’s kids René-Charles, 25, and 16-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, “We love you dad…we love you René. We miss you both so much. Thank you for watching over us…”
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer is no stranger to looking back on life with Angélil, who died in 2016 at the age of 73 after battling throat cancer. In fact, she recently reminisced on their nearly three-decade relationship on the 10th anniversary of his death on Jan. 14. (Her father, meanwhile, died in 2003.)
"Mon amour, ten years without you feels like just a day, and yet each day feels like a decade," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the former talent manager's portrait against a piano. "Ten years without your caress, and yet every day I feel your touch."
And the “It's All Coming Back to Me Now” artist has long been open about the struggles the couple faced in Angélil’s final days.

"I lost the love of my life. I miss him a lot from when he was great but not when he was suffering," she told People four months after his death in 2016. "I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go. I feel at peace."
For Dion, Father’s Day was all about remembering the dads in her life. Keep reading to see how other stars celebrated the day…
