EXCLUSIVE: Piers Morgan has completed a $27M raise for his growing YouTube empire.
Among those backing the former CNN anchor is Elisabeth Murdoch, an interesting detail for media watchers, given that Morgan carved out his Uncensored brand from Rupert Murdoch’s Talk TV in 2025.
Raine Ventures and Antenna Group led the $27M raise, while other backers include Simon and David Reuben. Deadline understands that the round values Uncensored at $145M.
The investment will be used to expand the network’s slate of channels, which now includes The Royals Uncensored and World Cup Uncensored, and enable it to move into live events and subscription products.
As part of the deal, Uncensored has entered into a licensing partnership with Antenna Group to expand its content into international markets.
Morgan said: “Our ambition for Uncensored has always been to build a truly global media platform for smart, compelling, high-engagement content that resonates with audiences worldwide.
“The media industry has seen seismic change in recent years, and — backed by this group of world-class investors — we are now in a unique position to help redefine that landscape and establish Uncensored as one of the world’s most influential media companies.”
Rashida Jones, the former MS NOW chief who serves as CEO of Uncensored, said the investment would allow the network to “turbocharge” its growth.
Piers Morgan Uncensored has 4.4M subscribers on YouTube, while the channel’s content is also packaged up for 5, the UK television network owned by Paramount Skydance. The Royals Uncensored and World Cup Uncensored also screen on 5.
