The PN leader also revealed that he recently met with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, where they discussed several important topics currently on the European agenda.
Speaking from Brussels, Borg described the meetings as an opportunity to exchange views on issues affecting both Malta and the European Union.
He added that his focus would now shift back to Malta, saying that work would continue locally from tomorrow onwards.
The visit comes as Borg continues settling into his new role as leader of the Nationalist Party, with meetings in Brussels offering an early opportunity to strengthen ties with the party’s representatives at European level.
