Postmaster General David Steiner will testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday morning about reforms within the United States Postal Service (USPS).
USPS has faced financial struggles since before Steiner stepped into the role, though revenue has seemingly increased in recent months. In the second quarter of 2026, the Postal Service reported a net loss of $2 billion. Last November, it reported a $9 billion loss.
The postmaster general has warned that the agency will run out of money in 2027 without reforms.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
