Natalie Burn To Topline Cartel Action-Thriller ‘Dead Weight’, Guatemala Shoot Due This Fall

EXCLUSIVE: Natalie Burn (Foster) is set to topline cartel action-thriller Dead Weight for U.S. producer-distributor Premiere Entertainment Group (PEG).

Filming is being lined up for this fall in Guatemala with Andrés E. Díaz aboard to direct from a script by Dane Larsen. Elias Axume (Man Of War) produces for PEG, which is handling worldwide sales.

The film will follow a pregnant woman (Burn) trapped in the Guatemalan wilderness after a violent cartel ambush. As she races to escape the killers on her trail, she begins to uncover the dark secrets her husband has kept hidden from her. Additional casting is in process.

Burn recently wrapped the action movie Foster opposite James Franco and Ron Perlman, and the horror sci-fi thriller Eyes In The Trees with Anthony Hopkins, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Ashley Greene. She also stars in the mystery-thriller Movers, alongside Jena Malone, Terrence Howard, Christopher Lloyd and Tom Everett Scott. Previous credits include The Expendables 3, The Enforcer and Til Death Do Us Part.
