Why Ed Kelce Says Taylor Swift Is "Just Like" Daughter-in-Law Kylie Kelce

Ed Kelce can't wait for his son Travis Kelce to marry a sweet, sweet superstar.

Indeed, the 75-year-old detailed his excitement over gaining a new daughter in law as Travis’ and Taylor Swift’s nuptials draw closer.

"I am super excited," Ed told FOX 29 Philadelphia in a June 24 interview. "She is a sweetheart."

In fact, he said Taylor's disposition reminds him of another person who has joined his family; daughter-in-law Kylie Kelce, who married Jason Kelce in 2018.

"That is truly the girl next door,” he added of Taylor. "Just like Kylie.”

And Ed—who is dad to Travis, 36, and Jason, 38, from his marriage to ex Donna Kelce—is proving that everything is actually romantic ahead of Travis and Taylor's wedding. After all, he recently shared insight into his own love story.

"With the dynamic and gorgeous Doree Hepner,” Ed wrote in a June 21 Instagram post, alongside a photo of his date, “at 118 North, listening to York Street Hustle: their Summer Soul(stice) show."

And while it's unclear whether Ed will be bringing the new woman in his life to his son's upcoming wedding, it comes as no surprise that he did not share more details, as Travis and Taylor's plans for their big day are being kept under tight wraps.

In fact, Jason declined to address any rumors regarding the couple's ceremony, echoing his wife Kylie, who recently called out fans grilling for details.

As Jason told a group of reporters on June 24, "This is not our information to share.”

Yet, just like his dad, the Philadelphia Eagles alum is looking forward to his little brother's wedding.

“I’m just very excited, very excited for my brother, obviously a big moment for him,” he added. "I’m very happy for both of them. I’m looking forward to celebrating with them.”

As Taylor and Travis are remaining tight-lipped on the highly anticipated affair, rumors continue to fly about where and when they'll be tying the knot. Amid speculation that the couple—who became engaged in August—will be saying "I Do" at either Madison Square Garden in New York City or in Rhode Island, even wedding guests admit they don't know where the ceremony will go down.

As San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle revealed, despite his and wife Claire Kittle’s invitations, they’re still in the dark about the wedding’s locale.

“I actually asked Travis last night and he laughed at me,” the NFL pro told Entertainment Tonight in a June 23 interview when asked if the wedding is really happening at MSG. “I’m half expecting there to be a jumbo jet on the runway and they put us on a plane somewhere. I don’t have expectations. I know it’s gonna be amazing."
