Maritime experts challenge China's protest over Cebu City WPS resolution

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Maritime law experts have rejected China’s objections to Cebu City’s declaration of July 12 as “West Philippine Sea (WPS) Victory Day,” arguing that Beijing’s legal position contradicts international law and the landmark 2016 arbitral ruling.
