Rovelyn Baterbonia, mother of Rene, signed the documents affirming the family’s ownership of the condominium unit.
The family had lived for more than 20 years in an ancestral house inherited from the parents of Bobet’s father.
The house is located in a flood-prone area, forcing the family to evacuate to a church whenever heavy rains caused flooding.
Before his death, Baterbonia had expressed his wish to move his family to Davao City so his mother could oversee the schooling of his youngest sibling.
