The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has stepped up roadside beautification efforts as part of its initiative to make the city more attractive and greener.
The metropolitan office is currently decorating the Koteshwor road section by painting murals on roadside walls and placing flower-filled planters along the corridor.
The campaign is being carried out by the Parks and Greenery Promotion Project under the metropolitan’s flagship programme, “My Aspiration, a Beautiful and Green City.”
The initiative is expected not only to enhance the city’s visual appeal but also to contribute to a cleaner and more pleasant urban environment. The murals feature illustrations of Kathmandu’s historic heritage sites, highlighting the valley’s rich cultural legacy.
In the first phase of the project, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City completed the installation of decorative flower planters and roadside beautification in front of Singha Durbar.
